Better Fourways is cleaning up, restoring and maintaining roads, parks, pavements and public places.
Our vision
Better FOURWAYS vision is to harness the collective power of engaged citizens to improve our neighbourhoods and ultimately South Africa, one suburb at a time.
Cleaning, Weeding, Restoring and Creating Jobs
We are creating employment. With funding and support from residents and businesses, we employ previously unemployed people who sweep streets, tidy, pick-up litter, weed, cut grass, paint kerbs, pave, and plant.
Holding the municipality to account
In addition to maintaining and improving our area, Better Fourways provides civil oversight of the municipality, to make sure its limited resources are well used. We are demanding greater accountability and transparency in all its activities.
Fighting crime
Studies show that criminals are deterred by a neat, well-maintained neighbourhood where community members are active and engaged and care about their environment.
