HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- If you come across litter, pick it up and place in a bin. If there’s no bin take it home with you and bin there!
- Get our Better Fourways message out there. Tell your neighbours, friends and other businesses about our initiative. Get them to sign up and become active members wanting to make a difference.
- Call business owners in your suburb and ask them to adopt their pavements. Make businesses aware that they need to put something back into the community that supports them. It’s not only about maximising their bottom line but also about creating a better environment for all to enjoy, whilst providing employment opportunities for those in need.
- Contact businesses that advertise on mobile trailers in your suburb and voice your discontent with them as they are adding to the street pollution on our roads.
- Be selective and support businesses that are part of Better Fourways as they are community driven and are aware that we all need to work together to restore our suburb, making it greener, cleaner and safer.
- Do not support the bakkie rubble removal brigade as they are taking your building rubble and dumping it on our pavements and in our open areas. Instead of trying to save money, at the expense of our environment, rather hire skip bins and dump responsibly.
